IIT Madras Project Associate Recruitment 2026 – Overview

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions

4-year Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Energy Science, or related fields

Master’s degree (Non-Engineering) in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related disciplines

Relevant experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree will be considered, where applicable

Minimum qualifications and/or experience may be relaxed for exceptionally outstanding candidates at the discretion of the Institute

Candidates must be citizens of India; persons migrated from Pakistan intending permanent settlement in India or subjects of Nepal are also eligible, subject to Government of India eligibility certificate

Salary

Project Associate (Junior Research Fellow): ₹37,000 per month
